Rajendra College, Chapra is the senior most Constituent unit of Jai Prakash Vishwavidyalaya. It has completed its 72 years of service in the field of providing quality education to as many aspiring students. Rajendra College has completed a long journey since its establishment in the year 1938. Its historical importance is evident from the fact that when it was established by the marathon endeavor of the two most respected persons of Chapra, Dr.(Late) Harihar Sharan and Dr.(Late) Sayed Mahmood Saheb, there was only one College ( G. B. B. College) in the entire North Bihar. It made its beginning on the 15th August of year 1938 with classes upto Intermediate-Arts level. In a very short span of 10 years Rajendra College got the full authority to impart education in the disciplines of Arts, Science and Commerce upto Graduation (Bachelors) level. The journey has continued since then and today the college is imparting P.G. level education in 16 subjects and UG level teaching in many professional subjects.
